They will play two Chicago dates

The Raconteurs are set to perform two New Year gigs at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago.

The band will play at the Illinois venue on December 30 and 31.

For details on how to get tickets for The Raconteurs New Year shows, go to theraconteurs.com.

tickets for these shows are $37.50 and $80. if you factor in how many songs they have and even their few covers, you're still paying multiple dollars per song. i cannot fathom how anyone would pull the trigger on this.

You fail to take into consideration that Jack White is a music-making machine. He may have another hundred or so by the time that show rolls around.

But yeah, it is something of a risk if you look at it like that.

Doesn't seem so bad to me. I mean, New Years Eve is so overrated anyway. There are only so many options. You can either:

A) Sit at home watching Dick Clark's Rockin NYE.
B) Go to a NYE party if a friend has one
C) Pay over $100 for one of those hotel dinner/open bar deals with an 80's cover band
D) Sit at a bar
E) Go to a concert with friends

The best NYE I've had in a long time was when I paid about $20 to go see The Drive By Truckers with a bunch of friends.

$37.50 isn't so bad considering the options especially if you've got a good group of friends going.

80$ is decent -- if Jack White has the band play "Me so horny".

'Oh. They think they're so cool, playing "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.'

They need to play some booty-bass, fuckers. Forget that indie-hop nonsense.

they played teenage kicks when I saw them in atlanta...

then they wanked out blue veins for 20 minutes or so.

good show, but I'm glad it was free.

I quite enjoyed them when I saw them live.
