I probably won't see this in the theaters but they keep playing the damn preview for the Grudge 2 and it's CREEPING ME OUT!

One of the scenes in a movie that has stuck with me was in The Exorcist--the re-released version. The girl crab walks upside down down the stairs with blood pouring out of her mouth. Well, there is this brief stair scene in the preview for the Grudge 2 and it is reminiscent of that scene. Joe may sleep with a light on tonight. :)

That crab walking scene from The Exorcist was creepy. I always found the scene in The Fly where Geena Davis gives birth to the giant maggot profoundly disturbing.

Geez, I haven't seen that movie in a long time. Even hearing the description makes me sick.

When the girl crawled out of the tv in the original version of The Ring.

When Eddie turns into the werewolf and pulls the bullet out of his head in front of Karen in The Howling.

The eyeball scene in Zombie.

Original meaning Ringu or just the first installment of the American remake? I never saw Ringu, so I don't know if it even happens in that one. I believe in the theater I said, "Oh hell no" out loud.

Although I thought that this was a horribly stupid movie, that last scene was pretty scary.

Yeah, I meant Ringu. I went retarded for a second.

The only part that really creeped me out in Session 9 was when Josh Lucas was in the tunnel at night and shined his light down the hall on someone.

And yeah, the end of Blair Witch was pretty fucked.

THE EVIL DEAD - the part where a messy, yawky mass of the undead were banging at the cellar door.

end of blair witch - yes.

no one will know this but when i was a kid the seance (spelling) scene in The Changeling with George C. Scott scared the crap out of me

something about the first few scenes of the exorcist scares me - the whole noises in the attic, the playing with the ouija board, etc.

also when i was a kid when Danny kept seeing those little girls around the damn Overlook Hotel. it would have been really scary if it had been a 6 year old pop todd searching the hotel for ingredients to make dad's yummy chicken.

I'm still scared to look in or under cabinets....Also I no longer think of wardrobes as fun magical furniture that contains lamposts and satyrs...

I think Alien hits home on every level. The isolation, the uncertainty, the lack of experience. The face hugger scene is so intense and pure in it's cause for fear.

The Sixth Sense is also of perfect caliber. The right amount of anticapation and the right amount visceral delivery.

Loved this movie, that scene gets me all the time, the red ball bouncing down the stairs too

Jaws - The head popping out of the whole in the hull of a boat where Richard Dreyfeuss' character(Doc soandso) is grabbig a shark tooth.

Carrie - Classic horror masterpiece. The telekinectic-power induced blood fest at the dance always reminded me what should happen to bullies and snobs when they ridiculed anyone.

The scene in Hellraiser where the Uncle who comes back from hell is originally tortured and says "Jesus Wept" before being ripped apart.
The scene in The Brood where the woman lifts her dress to reveal all the freakish fetuses attached to her stomach.
The scene in Basketcase where the mutated twin rapes the woman.
The scene in I Spit on your grave where the woman castrates the guy.

I forgot about Jacob's Ladder

There are some creepy scenes in that too. The face in the car the firts time you see it. The wife with the lizard tail. it's not so much scary as it is really creepy.

It's the one shot that made the movie.
