I can do better than any of you. Last year a girl I knew who was studying philosophy and theology who basically pounced on me after luring me to the theology common room. I fended her off for three reasons. 1. It was the theology common room and I felt a bit uncomfortable doing anything of a sexual nature there. 2. She's not that pretty - OK, but nothing you'd crave after. 3. She's Cypriot and her brothers and father phone her ever five minutes to make sure she's not with a boy. I figured I might have olive skinned, heavily moustachioed men cutting my balls off if anything happened.

Anyway, she disappeared after that (the shame of being turned down by me!) but I saw her last week wearing a nidaq.

You have to assume then she has converted to Islam as a result.

I nearly smacked a bitch once.

How do you know this? Is it through mutual friends or through her? If you feel bad and you want her to get better, cut any existing cord so she can put some time, distance, and living between the two of you.

I've done the same thing, except I'm not bragging. I'm very torn up about it. The worst part about it is that I didn't realize I was the reason she was so unhappy until it was too late.

So, this weekend I'll be holding on to any hope that my relationship is savageable because for the past year, my dumb ass, emotionally numb/complacent/chronically depressed-self caused irrepairable pain to my beautiful and very cool girlfriend of nearly two years. She's going to Chicago this weekend to leave me wallowing in misery. She warned me dozens of times to change and I didn't take it to heart or have the will to change until it was too late.
