I actually liked Tyrannorsaurus Hives even though it seemed like it went unnoticed here.

Tyrannorsaurus Hives is my favorite Hives record. It's a little more pulled together than their earlier ones, which I think helps in their case. Walk Idiot Walk was a fantastic single.

I'll be looking forward to this one as I think they've been getting better as they go so far rather than busting out and then regressing like some other bands.

tremendous live band - one of the greatest openers i've ever seen. i've liked all of their albums and was a bit surprised with what people seemed to think of tyrannosaurus hives. this is the first time i've heard of this album and i'm pretty excited to hear it.

Me too. I thought it was a nice balance between slickness/professionalism and balls-out rocking.

I like their attitude of being proud of their accomplishments.

I was also impressed when I saw them in Chicago. The New Bomb Turks opened up and were pretty aweful, mostly in part to the lead singer being heavily under the influence of something major. When the Hives came out they asked for a round of applause for the New Bomb Turks to which he got boo's. He told the crowd to fuck off and appreciate rock and roll or something, but I respected him for supporting their opening act, even after they were that bad.

Wasn't the Pitchfork review of Tyranosaurus Hives the one that turned the worm on the Obner opinion of Pitchfork?
