The only one that comes to mind for me is Aerosmith but I don't often keep track of the bassists and drummers.

Are the Chili Peppers all from the beginning? REM are close but no cigar.

U2 is the obvious answer. Thirty years together this week, if I remember right.

if you're trying to pass off that you remember the week of U2's anniversary as some kind of nonchalant coincidence, i want you to leave this board and go eat bleach.

and yes, i'll save you the trouble, of course i want you to eat bleach anyway.

Unless Hillel somehow jams with them as an undead spirit or something.

I've been a U2 fan for 26 years, so you might want to reconsider what you think you know about what I'm trying to pass off.

Well Sonic Youth have had pretty much the same line up for nearly twenty years (bar O'Rourkes comings and goings), although strictly speaking it isn't the original line up.

And before you get all holy christ on my ass, it's quite possible there have been 30th anniversary commemoration stories about U2 lately. Haven't heard any yet. But, no, I was actually throwing that out from memory of earlier U2 interviews.

jesus douchebaggy chrisy, either you are trying to pass off something that you heard this week as something that you just kind of offhandedly remember, or you actually remember to the week when U2 got together. either way, it's equally sad and it's bleach eatin' time for you, pal. or borax, we will also accept borax.

My dad said he saw the Oak Ridge Quartet in concert in the 1940's. I wonder if the group considers the original gospel act to be the same act or if they think of themselves as descendants? Either way, hell of a long-lived lineup.

At some point in the past, I read some article or other that said U2 first decided to have a band in October of '76.

It's where the name of the album October comes from, I always assumed.

I think you may have read "oh look how casually I drop my obscure knowledge" in the phrase " if I remember right." When what I meant by it was "I could be wrong, but I think I read this once."

David Abruzzese left after Vs. or Vitalogy. I think he was replaced by the Irons guy.

Dasve Abruzzese replaced Dave Krusen , the original drummer....pearl jam is spinal tap-esque with their drummers.

jack irons, who was originally with the chili peppers

who was replaced by the Soundgarden guy, matt cameron

for all the good drummers they go through, they suck.

Deftones (I think they only added Frank on samples/keyboards)

I wonder if Slayer counts now that Lombardo is back?
