ugh... i saw them open for guillemots earlier this year. (red and i have mentioned time and time again how awful this show was.) i thought they were a high school band. they had some catchy songs, but i didn't like them overall.

I saw them play last winter. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything incredible. Maybe catch a song or two.

I like the mp3's I've heard. But my friend saw them with Art Brut a few days ago and said they were godawful bad live.

i caught them this summer, playing outside during a storm, and i thought they were pretty good. definitely pop and in love with elvis costello, but good nonetheless.

Saw the show last nite and they left me indifferent.

However, art brut singer = loads of charisma. I was blown away by their set that I didn't see much point sticking around for we are scientists which i didn't.

We had Tokyo Police Club in August and they were outstanding and I really like the EP. I can't believe I dicked around long enough to miss them last night. Spinto Band were entertaining but not really what I like to hear. Art Brut were ridiculously good. I really didn't expect to like the show as much as I did. I think it's going to make me like the album more because there wasn't nearly as much pretension or affectation as I imagined.

I quite like the Spinto Band's debut album and I've heard they are really good live. Too bad you missed them -- I always like to see a band for a few songs before I make a determination if I will see their whole set. Seeing live music is a subjective experience -- what may be "ok" or "boring" to one person may be fantastic to another. Here is a link to their site where you can hear a couple of songs:
