Maybe there was a Pitchfork staff-Suicide girl orgy, and Ry Schreib (the fake-ass one) is just waking, doubly groggy from the mix of Tijuana Gold, cocaine, and qaaludes ingested in the course of plugging seventeen holes various (including Plaegenhoef's!... who'd have thought?... it was by mistake, of course) over an extended weekend in Las Vegas.

Right now, he's just en route back to Chicago. Flying Southwest. (Nice move, dOOdz.)

I meant it as humor, not for serious. Save for the fake-ass part. Since I know a Ryan Schreiber; not the Pitchfork-founder, obviously, a different one.

i just don't understand ryan's compulsion to expect a site relaunch to happen by a date that he announces to the public, ya know? he could've saved PFM a lot of embarassment if he tested and verified the site 2 weeks ago, even running daily updates internally, and *then* going live by whatever date he chose to give the public.

just seems like sloppy project management to me.
