Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Looking for the most basic way to create a podcast for my label.

I have did a google search, and some of the sites i have seen with step by step instructions still seem to advanced and complex for me....

Don't i just need a mic, and a program?

dead simple. there's nothing really to it. record it in pieces or live, save as an mp3, done.
