Everything I've ever heard from him is mind achingly beautiful. It's also a long stream of "oooyaa yoo mah" an "mee-gah-bo-mah" and whatnot.

Don't people primarily not singing in English get a free ride on this issue?

Yeah, but usually it results in diminished enjoyment. For instance, I can't really appreciate Gainsbourg's lyrics if I don't speak French.

Oryema has such an expressive, plaintive voice that it makes wonder if the lyrics are also beautiful or if they're just a bunch of African new age cloying sophistry sung real purty.
