I just saw this last night. The first good movie I've seen in awhile. Man, everything else playing out there right now just suuuuuuuuucks.

Great cast.

Michael Caine (man, he's getting old)

Scarlett Johansen (yum)

Christian Bale (good performance)

Hugh Jackman (postively electrifying. heh.)

I kept getting stunned. Then restunned at the end. And I was like, "Holy shit...it's got David Bowie in it too".

they definitely sacrificed character for plot, but I enjoyed it.

What do you mean?

If anything, I thought that they spent too much time fleshing out the individual characters and so the beginning part was kind of slow.

I mean they made the characters increasingly petty to drive the plot.

Well, the movie IS about magicians and oneupmanship so, yeah... there were sort of petty.

Yeh, but that thread was hard to search for because it had the unlikely title The Prestige.

Ah Radcliffe.

So glad you could make it to the party and grace us with your pettyness. Are you also a magician too perhaps?

I'm not saying it was bad, but I was so bored for the first half of that movie that I was left dissapointed even though it did turn out to be pretty good.

**SPOILER ALERT**

Does anyone think that Hugh Jackman's character is still alive at the end, holding his breath inside the water box?
