I've just noticed a trend with myself. The two newest artists that I've been most excited about are Lady Sovereign and The Grates.

It could just be a coincidence that they're from the UK and the AUS. And that they're female. But I don't know. I haven't really been as genuinely excited about any white American/Canadian boys as I have been about these gals.

Most of the time I prefer the new music coming out of the UK rather than the U.S.

I love music. Period. Doesn't matter to me which continent it comes from.

N.America is a pretty big place, with an amazing array of musical styles to pick and choose from to get bored with it. Either you're stick of a particular genre (that in your mind is married to NA), or you're just not looking hard enough.

Perhaps your usage of the word "bored" was incorrect?

You can find great music pretty much in all corners of the globe -- you just have to look for it. I've not found that I'm bored with North American music or anything but I have been listening to a lot of Scandie artists for the last couple of years.
