the name and artist please

it goes

"b-a-b-b-y, b-b-l-u-e"

Bascially the chorus spells "baby blue" but they add in extra Bs to get the right amount of syllables for the melody. any help would be appreciated.

"I love you B-A-B-Y Baby love..."

That?
If so, it's "B-A-B-Y Baby Love" by Squ!re... a 70's Mod band in the vein of The Jam.

Or maybe:
"B-A-B-Y"
by Carla Thomas (written by Issac Hayes/David Porter)
Also performed by Rachel Sweet (I have a version on the Stiff Records Box Set)

this song is 60s-sounding. most likely pre-beatles.

So it's not Leon Russell, then. He doesn't spell it out, he just sings like a drunk.
