How many of you seal your saved food in a zip lock like you would a couple of minted rolled jays by sucking out the air whilst you zip the bag?

I do this all the time even for my kid's school lunch. I kinda laughed at myself for doing it this morning.

edit: oh wait, I do it the way Phil said... when I'm putting something in the freezer or fridge... I don't typically do it unless I'm packing to go on a hike or bike ride and want to minimize space.

"minted" as newly rolled

I do it with freezer stuff too. It definitely helps shelf life.

The lack of edited quotes with the simple addition of a "b" leaves me equal parts ashamed at and proud of you people.
