Damn, and asspocket of whiskey will be drunk in his honor.

yeah, if the dog and hurricane didn't make it official, this definitely cancels my sobriety for the weekend.

Jesus I hope Cedric finds someone to drum with soon.

Didn't know who he was until about five years ago and he's since become one of the mainstays of my listening time. Didn't realize he was actually older than my mom. Long life, but he was still putting out quality and never rested on nostalgia.

Fats Domino is also missing. He lived in New Orleans.

Jon Spencer must be preparing what can only be described as the most insincere eulogy ever.

But, insincerity is just dog's way.

Still, he's an ass-hat.

got drunk last night listening to all the Burnside I have. made up a drink (3/4 vodka, 1/4 pomegranate juice with a lime wedge, served in an old-fashioned 8-10 oz. cocktail glass - delicious) and then spent the next 3 hours of blues-rockin' hard-drinkin pleasure trying to name the little bastard. The best I came up with was "the bloody diaper". didn't know he was Muddy Waters' cousin-in-law. i love you wikipedia.

I only wish I could have seen him live before he stopped performing. I've missed seeing a lot of great bluesmen, unfortunately.

If you haven't seen it, that Fat Possum DVD is great. Really puts those guy's lives in perspective.
