It's too long to wait another two weeks for season 2 of the Wire. I needs me something now. Sell me, please.

Freaks And Geeks. I never got to see it when it was on the air, but I'm loving this set. Absolutely brilliant television, and Linda Cardellini takes my breath away.

Yeah. Truly great show especially for network TV. Good thing one of my roommates has this set. I watched it all a while back.

I liked the Freaks and Geeks box, but I'd have to go with Arrested Development as well..

I'm still anxiously awaiting Get A Life. Since there aren't any of those box sets to buy I don't know what to say. The only box set I have is the first three seasons of Seinfeld and those are entertaining. Not willing to shell out the cash for my real desire, Star Trek in all it's various incarnations. I wonder how many thousands that would add up to?

Right now we/I have:

Family Guy season 1
Arrested Development season 1
Angel seasons 1-3 (mine)
Gilmore Girls season 1 &2 (mine)

And I'm waiting patiently for when they finally release Charmed on DVD in February. And I may break down and get Greg the Bunny.

I'm pretty sure there were about 35 episodes ( I had an episode guide printed out at one point), and I have all but one on VHS. Still, the DVDs are what it's all about. Now that was a show.

I'll go ahead and one-up you....I'm a big TV on DVD fan....

Arrested Development
Buffy season 5-7 (was able to borrow 1-4 from someone else)
Dukes of Hazzard Season one
Family Guy (both sets)
Freaks and Geeks
Mork and Mindy Season one
Mr. Show (all 3 volumes)
The Muppet Show (The 15 volume Time Life Set that got discontinued)
Pee Wee's Playhouse (both sets - 10 disks in all)
Ren and Stimpy (first box)
The Ben Stiller Show
Simpsons Season 4
Sledge Hammer Season one
Strangers with Candy Season one

I'm delaying on the rest of Simpsons/Seinfeld for the same reasons as you, but I have a feeling I'll have Simpsons 5 and both Seinfelds by April...

Oh shit, yeah. I got that for Christmas, and I got the other one last year. Excellent sets. The new one has a couple of Tex Avery ones and an interview with him that I haven't watched yet.

badass. How does the second overall compare to the first do you think? I was a bit wary because the second I believe has one disc completely devoted to Hollywood parodies (which are fine and all, but I much prefer the regular shorts). I'm eventually going to get the second of course (which I've heard has "The Big Snooze," which might be my favorite cartoon of all time), but the price is a bit prohibitive at the moment.

Wow! I think Arrested Development might win out. I've got Family Guy, Simpsons and Ren & Stimpy on lockdown.

I can't recommend the Sledgehammer box set any more... it's not possible.

I don't really know how they compare because I've only watched half of Vol. 2 (and there are parts of Vol. 1 I never got around to as well), but I'm pretty sure Vol. 1 is a little better. One great thing about the 2nd one is that the 2nd disc is almost entirely Chuck Jones Roadrunner cartoons.

I think disc 4 is entirely Hollywood parodies, and I haven't watched any of them yet. It's wierd that they decided to do that considering how many other ones with major characters still haven't been put on DVD. At any rate, I have no doubt that Vol. 2 is worth the money.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is a good one that's been mentioned. The third season is supposed to come out soon, too.
