Mozilla got banned at work for some alleged security hole that we could not contain. Blah Blah.

I'm looking for a free add-on that allows me to block banner ads and images similar to Ad-block in mozilla.

Any suggestions? All I can find is pop up blockers.

There's some funny irony there . . . Mozilla banned for a security hole and you have to use IE! Are you sure they're not confused?

Exactly!

I was told that the security holes for IE can be plugged on our side, while the hole in Mozilla can not. I am sure they have not experimented with newer versions of Mozilla, but, eh, I can't fight The Man!

Can I uninstall IE? I use Mozilla now but I'd like to get rid of IE because I get a lot of pop up (in IE windows) from the virus that was going around a few weeks ago.

you can, but trust me, you dont want to. its so deeply integrated into the system nothing works properly if its not there.

I suspected as much.
