I can understand the Bjork thing.

But he's a white American boy, right? What's with the name, first off? Secondly, what's the history behind it? Because I've never heard of it before.

some story during illinois press time came out about how his parents were in something like a cult and the cult leader named him. i really have no idea about its origins apart from that.

Is that true about Bjork? I've never heard that, like even on TV and shit.

I never did either until I stumbled upon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bjork#Her_name while doing some research.

This totally ruins my Swedish-Chef/Björk joke... which wasn't really that funny in the first place.

When I was a lot younger, I had been reading a lot about Bob Dylan, and had also heard he had a book out. I went into teh bookstore and asked where the books on Bob Dye-lan would be.

"timbre" as in the sound quality of a musical instrument or voice is actually pronounced "tamber" like the opening syllable of "tambourine"
