and gerald levert.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061110/ap_ ... ald_levert

I don't blame you if you don't know who he is, but he was very talented and a nice guy in person.

Go watch Standing in the Shadows of Motown again if you need a refresher.

He was only 40.

Wow, Levert was only 40? I can't say that I've paid much attention to his year of birth, but I would have guessed mid-50s based on how long I've seen his name floating around. That's a shame.

haha. He used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. He just had that creepiness about him much like Robert Stack had that creepy mysteriousness about him on Unsolved Mysteries that scared me also.

But seriously, Tango and Cash took this guy out years ago. Fubar.

The dreaded City Slickers curse. First Bruno Kirby, then Jack Palance, next...

Billy Crystal?
Daniel Stern?
Jon Lovitz?

Couldn't happen soon enough, in my opinion.

This may only resonate with Midwestern Obnerpeople, but a couple of weeks ago I saw Palance on an old Porter Waggoner Show rerun on the RFD Channel. Very odd.
