I turned this movie off after 15 minutes. Looks like Lily Tomlin thought even less of it.

Those clips were too long for me to sit through.

Well, from that clip... it just looks like Lily Tomlin is a huge bitch. I couldn't hear what Hoffman or anyone else was saying because I didn't want to turn it up loud enough for everyone in my office to hear Tomlin shout "fuck" every 5 seconds.

I just watched this on IFC again tonight. I really enjoy it. It's silliness, but it was a fun watch, IMO. The scene with Schwartzman, Wahlberg, and the other folks at the dinner with the conservative Christian family is hilarious. Wonderful dialogue.

same here. A flaming turd if you ask me. I vaguely remember something about underlying themes of wanting to connect with something on a level outside of our everyday existence or some shit.

I just remember it being painfully unfunny and only added to my growing annoyance at Jason Schwartzman.


Such a disappointment especially after "Flirting with Disaster" and "Three Kings".
