I've been listening to a Bella Union sampler I picked up for a couple of quid the other day and three artists stand out from it.

Firstly there's Laura Veirs. I've been mention to pick up 'The Carbon Glacier' (or whatever it was called) but never got around to it. It will be my next purchase.

I also quite liked The Czars track which was featured on the disc but the third band that caught my attention was Tresspassers William.

To be honest I've never even heard of them, so I'll put it out to you. Are they any good? Is this one track representative of what they do (Lie In The Sound). Has anyone heard the album 'Different Stars'?

i first listened to it just to hear how they did "vapour trail." i wasn't really impressed by it, but thought their original songs weren't so bad.

I own 'Different Stars' and enjoy a couple tracks on it. I think their cover of 'Vapour Trail' is brilliant and easily the best song on the cd. Whether it's worth buying...I don't know. I'd clever cactus it to you if I could, but unfortunately I surf at work and don't have access at my apartment.

Very lofi, from Orange County, California -- I first heard of them about three years ago and was pleasantly surprised. About a year ago, there was some cable music show that featured them and found their sound to be similar to that of Low, Luna. I've been meaning to buy one of their albums but haven't.

Yes, I really like the A Different Stars album by Trespassers William. (Scarlett Johansson is a fan too)

The Czars are good two, especially The Ugly people vs. The Beautiful People.

Another good band on Bella Union is The Autumns.

I've been disappointed with Violet Indiana.

I think their version of Vapor trail is gorgeous. I'm a sucker for the ethereal female vocals. They do a decent cover of "Love is Blindness as well.
