No, this isn't a HideousLump Xmas wish list thread, but the chest pounding of a confident Cowboy fan who realizes his team very well may have surpassed Da Bears as the cream of the NFC crop. Sure, Chicago's got the better record right now, but if/when these two meet in the playoffs, expect Dallas to RIDE THE ROMOMENTUM to victory!!!

But I guess after watching 3 hours of Buck and Aikman lick your QB's chode, I can see why you'd feel this way.

You know what else is convincing? #1 overall defense, #1 scoring D, #2 scoring offense. 9-1.

No, no...they're good. Just not perfect. I think that Dallas/Chicago would be a better game at this point than Indy/Chicago, which is the game everyone expects. Im not sure Chicago's O could do much on Dallas' D.

Are you kidding me? Have you seen the last five games? No QB has played better than Romo over that span. With the exception of the second half of his first game (in relief) he's been essentially awesome.

Yeah, with wins over undefeated Indy and 'Super Bowl bound' Carolina in there too, and one Vander-shank kick away from being the only 5-0 team over that span.

and before you 'Boys fans go screaming "Colts! Colts!", that was the worst 9-0 team I've ever seen. Their run defense is absolutely atrocious and once Manning has an off game in the playoffs they'll get bounced in an early round again. The Bills and Titans knew the Colts were what they thought they were, and they let em off the hook

Cowboys have solved some of their problems, and have a lot of good elements going for them, but if they lose in NY in 9 days, look out below.

Who with a working brain has Carolina "Super Bowl Bound"??? That team is full of holes. The secret is out: shut down Smith and the team is extremely beatable.

the same people who still have the Dolphins and Steelers in this years playoffs and the Vikings contending for the NFC North?

Also, your excuses are your own when you lose to Washington.

yeah, I'd like to see the Cowboys beat some more higher caliber teams before running around screaming their name like they're the new messiah. The Cowboys are on a good run now for sure and momentum is worth a lot but I'm not convinced yet that they are the best in the NFC

AND BEFORE YOU GIVE ME THE WEAK SCHEDULE BULLSHIT ARGUEMENT RE: BEARS TAKE NOTE OF THIS ALSO, THE PATRIOTS HAVEN'T BEATEN A TEAM WITH A WINNING RECORD YET THIS YEAR.

vs. Buffalo Bills W
vs New York Jets W
vs Denver Broncos L
vs Cincinnati Bengals W
vs Miami Dolphins W
vs Buffalo Bills W
vs Miinesota Vikings W
vs Indianapolis Colts L
vs New York Jets L
vs Green Bay Packers W

The Colts have been squeaking by teams all year. Beating them isn't that impressive. And I know damn well the Bears aren't perfect. Rex is still prone to a ton of mistakes, and our run D has suffered since Mike Brown went down for the year.

Over the first five games of the season, Rex looked like the second coming too.

Maybe you guys should worry about winning your division first before claiming to be the best in the NFC.

You're .500 on the road, and guess what? You're playing the Giants on the road next week. Not to mention your 1-3 record against your own division. Better hope it doesn't come down to a tie-breaker. Good luck the rest of the way.

btw, if Schottenheimer can somehow thwart his tendency to fuck his own team over in the playoffs, nobody is stopping that Chargers team this season. Marty is the only thing standing between them and the Super Bowl. Nobody in the NFC could hang with that team.
