I've only actually played IX. The one with Zidane and everyone. I thought it was great. But I never actually beat it or even made it to disc two because I just rented it, never owned it.

I hear VII is the best one out of all of them but I've never played that either.

I was also really interested in XI just because you could play online but I didn't want to spend the money for the online adapter since I already spent $50 on memory cards and everything else.

I have played 1-8. I own 9. Haven't gotten 10, 10.2 or 11.

VII is one of the best games, period.

I've played/own VII, VIII and X but have never finished any of them.

VII is generally acknowledged as the FF with the best storyline. I think the others look better because they don't have the characters in minature.

Oh and about XI, if you plan on getting one of those new slimmer PS2's, know that it doesn't offer hard drive support so it makes XI kind of useless. I've just heard this, I don't really know all the facts about it.

FF VI is the best. VII is just behind it.

Final Fantasy 6 (VI) is the best.

Sure, it doesn't have the graphics of VII, but it has the best story I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in a video game before. Basically, if Peter Jackson ever did another fantasy movie, he should do FF6, because it would rival Lord of the Rings as his masterpiece if done right. Seriously, the story is that good.

FF 7 is awesome. the best. 9 and 3 round out the top 3. 10 and 6 also are great.
