Solid list. I give you props for even attempting to order a top 100 songs. I think my head would explode if I tried to put together anything more than a top 10.

That's actually my least favorite hot chip song...everyone else seems to like it, but it kind of puts me to sleep. colours and...colours and...colours and...

Good list though! Pretty solid.

I've heard 5 of those and one of them is the World Party song which I know from the UK release of it many years ago.

I've had this song in heavy rotation since Thanksgiving. Why is the Brit top 40 so much better than the American? (#35 on the UK chart)

Oh, and one of my personal favorites from this year would definitely be YYY's: "Turn Into" (last song on the album). Working in the garage, I used to play that one over and over.

good calls! (i'm pretty sure these are both 2004. the ambulance song was on a comp and the johnny boy was a single then, even though the album is from this year.)

There are a few discs I'd pick different songs from, but yes, yes, I could as well.

Country Gentlemen is on the New English EP released March 2006. You're probably right about the Johnny Boy single but it was only available as an import and wasn't on a "proper" release until April 2006. Didn't I say that there were no fusspots allowed?

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
