Dude, OU & Nebraska are renewing their series tomorow and you're talking about BASKETBALL??
I'm enjoying reading all the standard hoopla that this matchup brings out...prolly more of it since something is on the line this time
one of the articles I read mentioned that Dr. Tom lost his bid to be governor...how the fuck did that happen?
I'm excited about the football game too, so much so it didn't need to be mentioned. It should just be assumed that when Nebraska and Football are mentioned together, that I'm excited about it.
Osborne lost because he challenged a fairly popular incumbent who had recently been chosen to replace Governor Johanns when he left to become Secretary of Agriculture. Osborne was really suppose to challenge Ben Nelson or stay with his Congressional gig according to the GOP officials of this state, and he pissed off alot of people in his district by trying to become Governor.
The last time a Nebraska/Oklahoma game decided a conference title was 1988, the Huskers won 7-3 and broke the OU Quarterback's leg. It was also Barry Switzer's last college game.
