Don't know if anyone has seen this on allmusic:

http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=61::6%3CHP

It's an interesting list b/c I haven't heard of a lot of these bands before.

Oh wait, we can only use that attack against other people, right?

Actually, that list is pretty interesting. I'm only really familiar with the Canadian ones on there.

Nice--I haven't heard of any of them. At first I thought this was just a list of bands with good looking people in them.

Ditto.

Thanks for the list...I've only heard of one of these bands so some exploration is requisite.

Hadn't heard any of those bands but I just went to all the myspace pages and these peaked my interest:

Fake Problems
Les Breastfeeders
The Loved Ones
Takka Takka

I liked Get Set Go but I'm not sure about that schtick.

i've had a huge crush on land of talk for sometime, they're totally crushworthy.
takka takka are a brooklyn band that sound (to me) like the hold steady, and a bit like springsteen. consequently, i can't stand them, though they seem to be nice guys.

some of the ladies on that list look pretty hot, i may have to investigate further.

That looks pretty interesting.

When it comes to finding new stuff, I take AMG's thoughts pretty seriously because (unlike magazines that pretty much have to bleed over into pop culture and scene politics and such )music is ALL THEY DO.

Thanks for passing it along.

yeah i checked this out yesterday. some pretty good bands in there, but some real duds too. the one they country-punk band they had was pretty good. and then i'm glad they are still hyping prototypes because that band is so much better than css and basically the same thing, just french.

I didn't realize Oh No was Madlib's little brother.

I wasn't all that impressed with his rapping skills, but the production was pretty darn good on his release..and Murs tears it up on one of the tracks.

Land Of Talk = Elizabeth Powell

Been crushing on her for years. She used to be in this really cool trip hop band called Doppelganger, then two years ago she released a solo album under the name Ele k*. Very cool she's getting attention now with LoT.

Are you alleging Ol' Kingfish Lee has erred?

You asshole. Everyone knows that anyone, with any tie whatsoever to the SEC, is infallible.

Fuck your granola eating, bicycling, California ass, Finch Platte.

I saw Land Of Talk open for Wintersleep this summer and, while I wasn't that blown away, I thought they were alright.

The lovefest in here means I should check out their album, I suppose.

You should check out Wildchild's underrated and overlooked Secondary Protocol album. It has some of the best beats Oh No ever produced.

In fact, I think it also has some of Madlib's best production too.

I've actually been meaning to check out Les Breastfeeders and Prototypes. With these bands and Malajube, my high school French is finally coming in handy!
