I have iTunes 7 and I'm trying to burn The Beatles' Love album. However, I always get a 2 second gap at the beginning of each track (even though I selected gapless album). How do I prevent this from happening so the transitions from track to track are (virtually) seamless?

I was wondering that myself. I haven't burned any gapless discs with Itunes 7 yet and wondered how it handled that. I guess not very well.

Wouldn't you just be better off copying the disc to your hard drive as wavs and burning it that way with Nero anyway? That's what I always do - I don't even bother with burning CDs of mp3s unless that's all I have (which is extremely rare.)

Yes. In this case, I was just hoping to actually preview the album, and I'm doing all this at work, where I do have iTunes installed but not Nero (which I have two versions of at home). Normally, I would do this at home and use wav files, but the CD was available to me for part of a day here, so I ripped it into MP3s.

Use burrrn instead.

Save album as an m3u playlist.
Open Burrrn.
Drag'n'drop m3u file into Burrrn.
Burrrn.

So in iTunes, you went into Edit -> Preferences, picked the Advanced tab, then picked the Burning Tab, and set Gap Between Songs to "none"?

Because even in older versions of iTunes that didn't have "Gapless Playback", setting the gap between songs on burned CDs to "none" would eliminate the two-second gap even though it wouldn't make a seamless transition. I still haven't tried with the new iTunes to see if it really preserves transitions between tracks on albums where tracks bleed together, but if you have your prefences set right, there should be no 2-second gap.

Aha. No, I had not done that. I had only chosen "Gapless Album" in the info settings. I will try that. Thanks.
