Love it. Not as good as Deep, but still one of his best. I don't know if I've heard a Peter Murphy imitator before. He totally channels Bowie though.

Maybe that dude from Crash Test Dummies, at least from the baritone aspect, not in style.

Yes. I love it, in fact. I know most cite Deep as his peak, but there's a level of perfection I found in Cascade that keeps me coming back time and time again. Dust is also pretty amazing, but is pretty dense and intense - I have to be in just the right mood for that one, but it's really beautiful stuff. Unshattered . . . the jury's still out for me. The songs themselves are good, for the most part, but the actual execution of the songs leaves me a bit baffled. It's like he purposely tried to channel the 80s - I think it's "Piece of You" that has some really cheesy, very dated keyboards (could be wrong on the song, as I don't have it with me at the moment.) And the production in general has kind of a demo-y feel to it.

tcj, I'm undecided on Unshattered too. To be honest, I don't think I've listened to it all the way through once. I love me some Murphman, but I'm not sure who he's appealing to these days. I think most of us diehard fans would probably enjoy hearing him read from the yellow pages, but if I had my druthers, I'd like to see him go back to his previous glory ala Deep.

I'm not most. "Should The World Fail..." is by far his best.

These guys: http://www.slowemotionreplay.com/

A Montreal-based band that has been around in various incarnations for years. Nice people too. Oh my goodness does their singer sound like Pete M! (at least he did the last time I heard them)
