I know it was mentioned in earlier threads but did anybody pick it up?

Did this week and the DVD rocks! being a huge music video freak, getting those 23 videos on it just sealed the deal.

Here's what you get:

Issue #13 - Dec 04/Jan 05

Earlimart (Heaven Adores)
Martina Topley-Bird (Anything)
Mindy Smith (Come to Jesus)
The Comas (Tonight on the WB)
Norah Jones (Those Sweet Words)
Jem (They)
Tift Merritt (Good Hearted Man)
Elvis Costello (Monkey to Man)
Black Keys (10AM Automatic)
Sons & Daughters (Johnny Cash)
The Faint (I Disappear)
Kasey Chambers (Like A River)
Rilo Kiley (It's A Hit)
Adem (These Are Your Friends)
Peter Mulvey (If Love Is Not Enough)
Cursive (Red Handed Sleight of Hand)
Kaki King (Playing With Pink Noise)
Now Its Overhead (Wait In A Line)
Bob Schneider (Come With Me Tonight)
Azure Ray (New Resolution)
Phoenix (Everything Is Everything)
Devandra Banhart (At The Hop)
Allison Moorer (Believe You Me)

The picture quality is outstanding and best of all, it's logo
free!

There's also live performances taken from music DVDs.

Ian Moore - Magdalena
Ramones - Sheena Is A Punk Rocker
Sonia Dada - Moons of Jupiter
Jake Brennan - Step Dad's Truck
R.E.M. - Swan Swan H
K's Choice - Losing You

The London Suede - So Young
NRBQ - It's A Wild Weekend
Calexico - Quattro (The World Drifts In)
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - Oh Yeah

Well worth the 6$. The DVD is only available in this issue on
the newstands. The next one, you'll have to subscribe. The first
taste is free. Crafty bastards they are.

This mag is out of Decatur, GA if I'm not mistaken. Introduced me to Midlake. I thank them for that.

...it's a helluva deal. A friend of mine & I subscribed today- buy one, get one free. We both get a year's sub (6 issues) for $14 each, I think it was?

Good mag. Don't pass up Harp, neither. No DVD, but a free CD, usually. And Pop Culture Press. And AMP.

Definitely at Borders because I used to buy it here. Haven't picked one up myself for a couple years but they always had it. I bought a few issues after it first hit the newstands in the middle of 2002, but then kind of lost interest. Think I might have to pick up this one. Editorially it's pretty heavy into the adult alternative sound with a heavy leaning to roots type stuff, but always very good samplers.
