Was my favorite hip hop album this year until Clipse and AZ released their albums. It'll still be in my top 20. This was a pretty good year for hip hop.

how is that AZ? is it worth hearing before i make a top 20

i liked it, but haven't had much desire to listen to it since the initial excitement. something tells me i will never listen to it very much.

i dont think its on par with supreme clientele or even pretty toney though

I liked it better than his last album and I think that made my top 20 last year.

the thing i love about ghostface is when he sounds like he's about to totally become unhinged later in the verses like on you know i'm no good off more fish.

that's the song that hooked me into the album.

I like some songs on this album, but for the most part it's the kind of hip hop that I find kinda boring. It's way too long and has too many skits (a few of which are pretty good, though).

And yet I still think I like it more than his last two.

the two short interlude tracks he does are awesome. "big girl" captures the vibe and spirit of some rambling motherfucker coming down off coke at 6am better than anything i've ever heard put to wax. the production is stellar.

it's inconsistent, but show me a rap record that isn't (that isn't 36 chambers)

my favorite rap album of 2006. should make my top 10.
