Pulp never really clicked for me. I've only listened to Common People a few times but it never really won me over.

It's a good enough record but I don't get some of the hero worship.

the one thing i hated about blurbing it was that it was almost impossible for me, as a gigantic pulp fanatic, to not compare it to pulp every two minutes. i think it will appeal to people who only had a passing interest in the band because the songs are different enough that most people shouldn't hear it as another pulp album, but it does have a similar sound to their last album, which was a huge jump from their 90s output.
