You and I are probably the only ones with Neko and Jenny in our Top Ten.

As close to my tastes as anyone is likely to get. 10 out of 39.

Well come on man, you've had your top 5 posted in every post for months now. You and OPA have posted your top 20 more than anybody I would venture to say.

Pretty sure that High Dials was out last year and in most big publications lists.

Some good stuff there though and I still need to hear that Peter Bjorn and John album.

Nice job P-deezy.

for full disclosure, except for end-of-year albums, i wait 2 months before i rank an album, listening fully at least twice. this ranking is put in a word document against other albums of that year. this is a subjective way to subjectively determine how much i like albums versus others.

at the same time i have an albums airplay weekly top 20 where i rank my favorite 20 from that week based on those i most appreciated and most desired to listen to. as of september i stop looking at what the final results of what the yearly albums airplay chart will be. this is an objective way to subjectively determine how much i like albums versus others.

i used the albums airplay charts for the year, without spoiling the surprise of what my favorites will be, to put the final tweaks to my top 39 list. the toughest part is projecting how albums currently on my chart, as well as those that should make it in the next couple weeks. will perform over their lifetime.

this is how i came to my final 2006 top 39 album sales chart.

That High Dials album came out in July of '05 but it is a good one.

Edit: I just read your write-up on that. My bad.
