I almost posted a "worst albums" list, but I couldn't come up with more than four that I knew I didn't like and was familiar with enough to rank.

Television Personalities was on my list for the first half of the year... then I had a moment of clarity and realized it was truly unlistenable. Like that Rabbit Fur Coat gal... and Joanna Newsome...

Your tastes meet mine at certain intervals. Can you please tell me more about these:

Yes. The Delays made me angry for about two days before I forgot them forever.

Pete, I know for a fact you picked up the Semi Finalist album so why isn't that on the list?

You'd have to be fucking nuts to prefer that over The Strokes album.

Yeah i will put up a track for each record later today.

Clockcleaner sound like a combo of Flipper/Scratch Acid with some Million Dead Cops thrown in.

TVP is a beautiful mess of an album. Incredible lyrics, very childlike & very unique. It's a painful listen and very human.

Harvey Milk is a beast, a combination of Glam Rock & Slow slow metal. Sounds like Melvins (houdini)/Speed Glue & Shinki.

Dead Man are a Swedish band. Music wise, it's a mix of heavy 70's rock and folk rock put together with psychedelic inspiration and improvisation. In other words they are a 'hippy' band. Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad. The singer has the most awesome vibrato vocals going on.

Library Tapes is a band Dalen turned me to last year. One lonely piano and some help from Colleen & guy from Deaf Center. Beautiful.

BRB.

Despite the fact that my #1, Hot Chip, is on this list, it still has a ton of merit. I really think I hate the Hold Steady. I love old Springsteen and this band apes him so badly that I can't get beyond it. I also cannot listen to Destroyer. That record is so universally lauded and I literally cannot listen to it. As far disappointments go, I liked previous efforts by the Delays, Streets, and Snow Patrol so their forays into suckdom were surprising. Razorlight is a bad band. Cold War Kids and Sunset Rubdown are the blog bands that don't deserve the hype. I don't know if the the Chili Peppers suck, I just know that I can't listen to them. That faux-U2 record by Keane sucks beyond words. So does Muse. Everyone loves Muse. They sound like Styx to me.

I'm totally down with Belle & Sebastian, Hot Chip and Ben Kweller though. Take them off the list, Pete!

I'm glad you took it humorously, as intended. You're good people, Dan.
