i saw them open for someone (can't remember who now), but i thought they were pretty good, if not a bit too loud.
i think the main dude may have fired his original band by that point though?

Saw them open for My Morning Jacket, I didn't think they were all that bad. The lead singer walked around the club after their set, he had really bad BO.

I like them too. Didn't know they broke up. Kind of fell off my radar.

I liked them. Luke Steele seemed like kind of an Axl Rose controlling type though.

(I know that's not the "Jackson 5" Randy Jackson, but it's almost quittin' time and this pic of the ex-member of Journey is too good)...

Have they ever put out another album, or at least one that's been released in the U.S., since A Good Tip for a Good Time?

Yeah, the worst album covers of the year article on Pitchfork cracked me up:

How I wish Sleep Jackson would have broken up instead of releasing that new album

oh and on the cato salsa tip, they released a steaming pile of a followup a few years back called "the fruit is still fresh". i swear i sent it to you bob as i think we were the only two even remotely interested in it.

but in looking up the title of that stinker, looks as though they released a new one this year called "no. 3". i'm actually listening to a few tunes here:

http://www.catosalsaexperience.com/

sounds ok.

So, both follow-ups were not released in the U.S. and are nowhere near as good as the first one?
