Hangin' with the 'Ville in the Ernge Bowl.

Wake, Rutgers, Boise...I've loved this year in CFB.

I'm probably the only douchebag with this game on.

If I had cable, I'd be watching. Can't pick up nothing, not even with rabbit ears.

I watched the second quarter, but then was so horrified by Dave Wandstedt during the halftime show that I hadda find something else to watch.

What are the odds of the 'Stache getting the Stilllers job, assuming Cowher leaves for NC State? I dislike the Stillers, but even I would not wish that hire on them... As it is, Tom Coughlin -- whom I mentioned as a joke in that NFL thread, in re: the Falcons job -- would seem to be the leading candidate (if the Giants fire him, say, if he loses in the first round).

The Rooneys love the Maras sloppy seconds. E.g., Kate Mara, the babe from We are... Marshall.

I watched bits and pieces of the first half, but with Louisville up 10-3, I didn't figure Wake could mount enough offense to win it.
This match-up was about as attractive as Rosie O'Donnell/Donald Trump makeup sex. I applaud both teams on a great season, but didn't care to watch it after a long New Year's Day of games.
Since I don't work until late afternoon Thursday, I will definitely try to watch LSU-Notre Dame. Hopefully it won't be a huge fiasco.

ND/LSU will be much closer than people think but we'll pull it out in a squeaker.

Well, the SEC has to win at least one bowl game.

&, yes, I know, UGA took theirs... But they don't count.

Huh?

The SEC has done exactly what I expected them to do so far. The only lost that I didn't have in my predictions was Tennesse's. I also had UGA & Kentucky losing in my predictions.

I guess South Carolina, Kentucky, and Auburn don't either?

The SEC is like 4-3 & the Big 10 is around 2-5

No, it really won't. LSU wins by no less than 24, possibly even 30. There is absolutely nothing about this matchup that favors ND. They've lost eight straight bowl games, their last three losses (USC, Michigan and Ohio State in last year's Fiesta Bowl) were by a combined 60 POINTS, and this is a HOME GAME FOR LSU.

10,000 bedpans won't be enough to account for how much bedshitting Brady Quinn does tonight.

LSU 49
ND 21

I think it's more about the mindset of the teams going into this game. ND has a lot to prove and LSU has been told that this should be a blowout. LSU 31-27

It will be a typical Notre Dame game, LSU comes out swinging and dominating ND and Charlie Weiss grumbles on the sidelines and then in the 3rd-4th quarter ND rallies but still loses.

I watched all of the game and wondered if there was any interest on this board of watching WF play. Not a bad game, it just took forever.

And fuck ACC pride, I was cheering for Louisville.

That's not an entirely unrealistic scenario.

seriously, every Notre Dame game against a big opponent this year, that is how it went.

They nearly squandered the MSU game too, they just got lucky because MSU sucked it up.

John L. Smith's meltdown after that game was classic... & the sports-talk host who almost lost his voice at least three times, over fifteen minutes, ranting about the game, was epic.
