I say 'official' cause I made a list for HipD that was more of a rush job than a well-prepared list.

Hey, WWVV!

I really liked that album a lot earlier in the year, but I guess I got a little tired of it. Still, nice to see it make a list.

I'd like to hear that Old Crow Medicine Show album.

If you catch a rebroadcast of the Great Performances' Prairie Home Companion New Year's show, their part was great on that. And Emmylou Harris has gotta be the classiest, prettiest old dame on the planet. She's in most of the show.

Surprised I haven't seen this on more Obnerian lists.

Damn, that Beirut dropped like a stone for you as the year wore on, huh?

Did you have a big resurgence with the Walkmen record? I've kinda been listening to it and liking it more now than when it first leaked.

Unfortunately Beirut didn't get better with repeated listens although I still believe it's one of the better releases in 2006.

Yeah, I can't quite explain the Walkmen thing. I listened to it recently while doing my research for this list and I can't tell how much it clicked with me.

And somehow, its getting progressively worse.

Just got that M. Ward from Bloor. Havne't listened.
