Laura Veirs, the West Coast singer-songwriter who’s Year Of Meteors was one of 2005’s more pleasant surprises, has announced plans to release its follow-up. Saltbreakers will be released March 26 via Nonesuch Records. Like with Year of Meteors, the album will be producd by Tucker Martine of The Decemberists. One track, “To The Country,” was recorded with eight-person Baptist Choir. The album’s first single, “Don’t Lose Yourself” will be released March 19.

tracklisting

* Pink Light
* Ocean Night Song

I thought I'd post a song since she's generated some interest and discussion on Obner in the past.

I sure am. Didn't know she had a new one coming out soon.
I've been a fan since Carbon Glacier.
