...to get married. I'm looking for a place
-that's aesthetically pleasing (preferably nature)
-that isn't really going to cost anything/much (drive-by wedding)
-that's easily accessible (it'll be fucking cold outside, and my sick father will probably be there).
-roomy enough for 10-15 people to stand around for ten minutes while some hippie waves a magic stick over us.

We were going to do it at the japanese garden at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, but after saying that was fine to sneak in at 5 PM and just do it discreetly, they now want $350 and for us to be finished with it by 10 AM. I will be hung over and not considering this option.

I don't know if Central Park is the way to go, since we'd probably have to trek pretty far into it, right? Do you think we'd need a permit in like Tompkins Square or something? Would it matter if we did in on the fly?

I wish! The girl works with a lot of people there who would ostensibly allow us to run in there after they'd closed. It's actually the only way I've ever seen it there. But it turns out they were liars. Filthy liars.

I would have the wedding in the quaint neighborhoods of kew gardens or forest hills gardens in queens.

I wonder if they'd let you do this at the Chinese Scholar's Garden at the Staten Island Botanical Gardens. It's supposed to be pretty beautiful.

That does look nice. We were thinking about the Tea House in Fairmount park, but that would mean having my family there.
