I just wrote a piece for Hip-D called "Collaborations I'd Love to Hear," where I list and briefly describe several dream musical pairings. Who would you like to hear together?

Here's the link to my article:

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Some heavyweight America rap artist needs to take Board of Canada's 'Smokes Quality' and put a rhyme over it.

I really wish that Aesop Rock and Prefuse 73 would do a whole album together. The collaboration they did on Surrounded by Silence was excellent, and since then I've been dying to hear a whole album of that.

I'd like to hear Jack White team up with Styx and excise all hints of Dennis DeYoung. Oh wait...that's Wolfmother.

But really ... Jon Auer and Sean Nelson. While Sean interviewed Jon on KEXP months ago, it was hinted that it could happen. I'd buy that single/album.

Supposedly, JV was pretty significantly involved in the production of Gimme Fiction.

Yeah, I'd definitely be in favor of that, too!
