I let one of my friends talk me into getting a job at Abercrombie and Fitch because I was desperate for cash. As part of the job though they told me that I had to shave and cut my hair so that I would fit the look of the brand. Also I'm required to ask customers silly shit like would you like to try our new fragence. oh well I suppose it's a necessary sacrifice for 6.15 an hour

What you can't sell sperm at $30 a pop? Platelets? Marrow from your hip?

If it makes you feel better, I've never had any indie cred and I'm still completely awesome.

You should sell rights to your avatars. Kid AAAAAAA was a silent fave for a long time. The new one delivers as well.

I assume you are doing it for the clothes discount? $6.15 an hour is a joke...you can make at least 8 washing dishes at a restaurant

That value just took a drastic dip from being dumb enough to work a job you don't want for a chump high schooler's wage.

Like I was gonna say, evidently not.

Enjoy the tunes in A&F anyway.

Dude, get a job washing dishes in a restaurant. Guarantee you'll make more than 6.15 an hour and you'll probably get tips too. No doubt you'll not have to shave and cut either.

there's not really much worth 6.15 an hour.

EDIT: Sorry. Missed wilked's suggestion in my first read through.

Hell you could make more than 6.15 an hour bussing tables.

6.15 US is about 7.27 Canadian, apparently.

Hell, that's less than our minimum wage. I was making $7.85 before I got a raise.

Don't worry, I lost my "Indie Cred" long ago.
It's not so bad to be one of us.

Give up the indie cred, it frees you to find a whole world of great music.

$6.15 an hour? I was earning 5.25 an hour as a waitress in 1987.

No shit. He's a young guy looking for scratch. We've all been there. Hell, it's twice as much bullshit considering the unemployment history around this board.

You couldn't pay me enough to wash dishes in a restaurant. Bus tables either. I did my stint in a restaurant, but as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather make less and come home clean.

haha. that's true. There has been a quite a bit of unemployment around here. I remember my days of eating hot dogs--cold and in a bun because I had no microwave--from not too long ago. I suppose I suggested washing dishes because if you get a job in a nice enough place you could make double what he's getting at Abercrombie. Plus, I couldn't do retail. I have a hard enoug time with my current office job.

I am rarely clean anyway, so coming home after using an automatic dishwasher that has piping hot water and some semblance of suds is sort of like taking a bath. You just gotta watch out for that half-chewed fat from the steak dinner and the nastiness of touching wet noodles when you're cleaning out the drain in the sink. :)
