Yeah, I learned about their debut album from the Basement Life website, which was run by one of the old-time CMJ boarders who I don't believe ever made it over here to Obner.

Who? Was it Velouria, whose failure to migrate ruint the board for people like Charli_Lady? One of the other Bostonians who didn't make the switch?

Who, damnit?

I'm sorry, but what? And who are you?

No one ruined anything for me.

I think he actually went by "Basement Mike," not to be confused with Obner's own bort-esque "Natural Mike."

Me too. I liked that site. I got good recs from it. I think he used to be Mike_BL. I remember he tried to keep it going by passing the torch. Anyhow, HipD and Atad has filled in nicely.

I do wonder how the mongering folk feel about the Glossary still. I'd a figure its right up their alley much like your blurbiddyblurb, "southern-fried goodness" suggests.

I don't mind those songs at all - infack, I might pick the album up if I ever find it in the used bins.

Gotta say, though, the Glossary is the worst name for this band I can think of. Was the name Glamour Butts taken?
