I hope they do something like "Truth Hits Everybody" or "When The World Is Running Down You Make The Best Of What's Still Around" instead of frickin' "Every Breath You Take."

They'll probably compromise and do "King Of Pain" or "Roxanne."

they're performing a new song -- a remake of a classic called "every buck you make".

If they did this, I would have to change into some dry pants. I'd also probably be able to muster up a little man juice for "Driven to Tears."

Also they could come out drunk and do a twenty minute version of "The Other Way Of Stopping"

If you like the Police, there's probably another 2 or 3 hours of similarly vapid bullshit appearing on the program right after them.

The ultimate "fuck you" would be if they played
"Sally, Be My Gal"

But, sadly, that will never happen.
I would laugh my ass off if it did, though.

Now, I'm not familiar with the Police's catalog, but I have to say--outside looking in--that doesn't sound like it would be the ultimate "fuck you."

A (mostly) spoken-word song about fucking and falling in love with a blow-up doll.

How about now?

It's a novelty track about schtumping a blow-up doll. It would be more "we don't take this reunion seriously" than "fuck you."

Would "King of Pain" be so terrible to hear? I think that was my favorite song when I was nine years old... Yes in 1983. Though I loved "Round and Round" by Ratt and anything else that was on MTV back then. I hear, the secrets that you keep, when you're talking in your sleep. Was that the Romantics? God I feel old. For an Ob.

I hear "King Of Pain" all the because of the radio format I work in.

I'd rather they did something unexpected like "Darkness" or "Man In A Suitcase," "Secret Journey," "Driven To Tears," "It's Alright For You," "Does Everyone Stare,""Hole In My Life, "The Bed's Too Big Without You," "Walking on The Moon" "Shadows In The Rain," "Voices Inside My Head."

Songs that mean something to their long-long-time fans, not just the background soft-radio fans who think Sting's apex is "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free."

Top 5 hair metal song ever.

Question:

Would you rather have a band like Ratt's career where you are kings of LA for a few years and for a couple or years, one of the biggest bands in the world. Selling a few million records and then fading into obscurity?

Or

Would you rather have a middle of the road indie band's career that never goes Platinum or even Gold but each record sells about 30-50,000 units and you have massive critical acclaim? You have an okay life and get by on a meager budget for the next 20 years.
