Lucinda Williams -- right in time

(or something off the new one that you need to send to all us ;) )

Aimee Mann -- anything off the Magnolia Sdtk.

Be sure to include tracks by The Detroit Cobras, Heartless Bastards and The Paybacks, all of whom are fronted by chick singers and RAWK.

great Patti Smith choice

PJ Harvey - "Down by the Water" (maybe?)

south pacific Wrote:
Enon

-"Disposable Parts" ...or "In This City"

also:
Joni Mitchell - "Blue"
The Slits - "Typical Girls" or "New Town"
Deerhoof - "Rrrrright"
Stereolab - "Miss Modular"
Sonic Youth - "Drunken Butterfly" or "Sympathy for the Strawberry"

And something by the Raincoats. I like their cover of "Lola", but I'm sure there's something better you could use.

I should be able to think of more. Shows how one-sided most of my listening is.

Another good one from her (just for future reference) is "On The Radio." I am putting that on a mixtape that I'm currently making.
