Some of you probably already know about this, while others may not. All items that have been on display since August 2004 or earlier are 50% off - used AND new (or should I say used and unused but not brand spankin' new?). Items that were put on display in September and October of last year are 30% off.

Here's what I got:
Tindersticks - II (new) double-disc import - $15 ($15 off!!!)
The Church - Hologram of Baal - $1.50
The Church - After Everything Now This - $3.99
The Church - Gold Afternoon Fix - $2
Lungfish - Necrophones (new) - $5
Come - Near Life Experience - $1

The sale runs through 8 PM Sunday. All the price tags have dates on them, so it's easy to tell what you're going to pay.

Everything that's in or on the shelves or display cases, along the walls, under the counter, behind glass, not behind glass, stacked horizontally or vertically, tossed here and there, on those big racks that line the walls or not on those racks, in someone's hand or in your hand...promos, "regular" used CDs, "regular" new CDs, vinyl, DVDs, etc - in other words, ANYTHING that can possibly be purchased, stolen, or obtained with store credit. I don't recommend stealing because my friend Dave from the Wicker Park Reckless will beat you silly.

The sale is on at both, and possibly the Reckless in England if you plan to head out there at some point before Sunday night.

No problemo, Timmy. It really is a great deal, and the selection is quite good...for now.

You know, for five bucks it's hard to go spectacularly wrong with Elvis*. I like Armed Forces about 4,000x as much, myself, but opinions do vary. Hope you dig it!

* I haven't tried his new classical album.

After going to the Broadway location a few days ago, I hit the Wicker Park location on Friday and picked up 2 Tram albums and Paul Weller's Stanley Road for a total of $11. I like sales.

I really dislike this album, too, but the bonus disc that comes with the reissue is top-notch stuff. (I imagine you bought the original version, though)
