Ruby - Short-Staffed at the Gene Pool

Just pulled out this overlooked pop gem and forgot how awesome Mark Walk is as a solo producer (he's now a member of Skinny Puppy). It's too bad Ruby didn't release this right now because she'd be as big as Goldfrapp.

A lot of reviews seem to throw Short-Staffed under the trip-hop umbrella, but it's closer to electronic pop, mixed with some rock elements similar to Garbage's early work.

I didn't realize she released anything after Salt Peter and that remix album in the '90s.

EDIT: Check that, I did hear "Queen of Denial" of this album.

Hey. Goldfrapp's music is featured in a Target commercial. That's huge.

Love Goldfrapp and Skinny Puppy. Well, the older stuff from '92 backwards. After that, eh...not so much. How is their new one, Borgmeister?

I have that Ruby Salt Peter album and I have to say it sucks hard. Will check out this older tune though if you recommend it.
