I laughed and laughed and laughed...

I've a feeling in the case you refer to, Chase, it was the author's doing.

I would like a taste filter installed by the mods to weed out any and all attempts at entertaining threads. It's about time we sucked more. Plus we should have words put in our mouths by others and should have to explain our flippant comments in great detail to the satisfaction of others.

I also want tacks glued to the keyboards.

I deleted a thread, upon the author's request, that no one had contributed anything to other than "this thread is pointless, let it go."

Does this seem like bad policy?

Nah, that's all right, I think.

Should be a thread-by-thread deal.

Gives the mod-admins stuff to do.

if you are going to delete threads per the author's request, we should just install the function for them to do it themselves.

yeah, i think so. it kind of presumes that no one WILL offer anything useful. can i start picking out which of my threads are useless based upon people disagreeing with me? i don't really have a problem with that thread being deleted, and for fuck's sake it's your board and you can do what you want, but for future reference where's the line?

I don't think people should be able to delete their threads if they have led to a dialogue that others have stake in, but if all of the responses deal with the fact that the thread should not exist, I think it's fine.

I find your poll to be biased.
