So the team with the most points just added a guy who has 162 points in 139 career playoff games. If he can get his ankle to 100% Nashville should win the West

I like what the Flyers got in return. He could have just walked at season's end, so something is better than nothing..I wonder what other offers were out there from other tams though..

Nice Kopitar pic..That kid can play.

Philly did pretty good in that trade. Plus there's no reason to assume Forsberg won't resign with the Flyers next year.

Preds gave up a lot but it makes more sense when you look at it closely.

Parent is a legit prospect. But the Pred's have 3 legit blueliners playing right now who are 24 or younger & their solid system is loaded with blueline prospects. Parent was basically in the middle of a pack of 5 prospects that have a shot at joining those 3 in the NHL. They pretty much had to move someone in the next year or so. Both draft picks are this Summer & it's considered to be an off year. Upshall is most likely a career 3rd liner. Preds also need to make a postseason impact because thatr market does not seem to care about regular season.

I wouldn't say it makes THAT much sense. They gave up a ridiculous amount and there is no reason to assume he WILL re-sign with The Flyers.

But dear God, speaking of Philly Leighton did awful in that first period last night. haha. He was on a "conditioning stint" a couple weeks ago with the Philly Phantoms (AHL) and my Norfolk Admirls beat that sumbitch. It was cool seeing him though. He actually used to be a CBH prospect.
