The Champions League is back tonight with the much anticipated visit of the mighty AC Milan to Celtic Park! Kick off 7.45pm GMT!

Can the Hoops defy the odds and progress to the next stage of the Champions League?! With the first leg taking place at Celtic Park tonight it is vital we get a result to take to the San Siro in a couple of weeks. Celtic Park has been a fortress in European football in recent years and lets hope that tonight is no different!

Having qualified from a group containing Man United, Benfica and FC Copenhagen, Celtic have proved they are a force to be reckoned with in Europe. Celtic have won all 3 games at home so far this season in the Champions League and are yet to concede a goal.

AC Milan are currently a massive 30 points behind in Serie A and with a couple of key players missing through injury there has possibly never been a better time to face the Italian giants.

Now is the time to show your support!

ZING!

I was watching the early round games on Fox Sports or ESPN2, but had sort of lost track during the college bowl season and the NFL playoffs.

Well, they are 0-3 on the road with a goal differential of -6. ;)

my favorite team thus far in the Champions League.

mainly due to having a player named Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

I can't believe this thread has gotten so far without retorts from fans of Sixer or Piston. Or even Knick.

I guess that's purgatory, not hell.

So Celtic hung on for a draw. Bit like there last match against Motherwell.

SPL + EPL on the first leg: 2-1-2... pretty good given that Celtic was the only home team

i got to see 4 of the 8 that were played.
yesterday they showed us psv v. arsenal (the match i was most
interested in for my gunners) and it was a big disappointment. henry
was nowhere to be seen, him and adebayor up front didn't seem to
click. it's not as if they were playing poorly, things just weren't
clicking. psv hardly had any opportunities; they just managed to
capitalize on one of their rare ones. it hurt to witness that but i'm
sure arsene's boys will have a great match in london to pull their way
out of this. they need to figure something out on defense in the
right back slot...i was hoping for better things from gallas but he
didn't really deliver.
then we got to see real madrid - bayern, which unfortunately i kind of
slept through. i have this bad habit of falling asleep during soccer
sometimes (like the france-spain match from the world cup). i think
it's because of watching so much fox soccer channel with you at villa
place while stoned...that often led to passing out. anyway, it was an
entertaining match. i kept waking up around when the goals were
scored so i got to see them all. i'm glad that bayern got one at the
end there...i'd hate for real to have it too easy on the second leg.
and from what i hear beckham played really well which makes me happy.
even though i'm not his biggest fan i'm glad to see that capello put
him back in the lineup and that he's been delivering.
then what...ManU got that skeezy goal on the free kick when Lille
wasn't ready and Lille had a goal disallowed that should have counted.
Did you see it? They called the guy who scored for pushing when he
had hardly touched the guy. Very soft call...Lille really should have
won. And as far as Giggs taking the free kick while they were still
setting up the wall...it sucks for Lille but it's part of the game.
They really should have been ready, especially the goalkeeper.
Then there was Celtic-Milan scoreless draw which I don't know much
about. Unfortunate for the Scottish side as they'll have a hard time
scoring on the away side of this fixture I'm sure.
