I just ran across the website of one Eric Tamm, who has written published biographies of Brian Eno and Robert Fripp during the 1990s and has since made them available for free on his website. I have barely skimmed them, so I can't comment on their quality, but there have got to be some dorks on here who would eat these up. The books are available as HTML and Word docs.

Robert Fripp: From King Crimson to Guitar Craft
Brian Eno: His Music and the Vertical Color of Sound

EDIT to title: KING Crimson. Doy.

Gee, guess I'm a dork, but I like KC. Better than 75% of the crap that gets posted about in here.

Thanks for the links.

I read parts of the Fripp book and it's interesting reading. It's been a while, but I do recall actually learning some new things about the band from this, which is not something I actually expected since I'm pretty much a die-hard fan that lived on the Elephant Talk list for a few years, where every topic was discussed until you wanted to bury it, and those who refused to stop bringing them up, in a very deep grave. I seem to recall that Fripp wasn't too thrilled with it, however, as I believe he felt that it gave a slanted view of the goings-on in the band that really weren't going-on, that Tamm was being more creative than factual, but it sure sounded pretty authoritative. Who's to know besides Fripp and the other band members?
