well, i suppose that's good news for subterranean because jim sheridan (or whatever) is terrible and the guest segments are painfully bad. and maybe they can get an extra video in during their 58 minutes.

It's kind of too bad about getting rid of the host on Headbanger's Ball, only because when Mastodon on there it was one of the funniest things I've seen on MTV in ages. But I guess if that allows for more videos . . . but will it just lead to more commercials instead?

MTV2 proably won't have video's much longer, just lower budget non music related TV and reruns from the flagship.

Well, they've got MTV Hits, MTV Jams and MTVu now.

When I was in my late teens, Matt Pinfield was an unbelievable fount of music history and a pretty good interviewer. And seemed like he'd be a cool guy to grab some beers with. So I'd call him worthwhile.

But Duff was special.

eh, who cares. i dug subterranean and had it on tivo... but it would be only about 5 videos between that jackass host and 27 minute long commercials.
