I didn't know that vegans lived that long. (that's a joke. and it assumes that he's still vegan)

but, on this snowday I'm re-reading the Minor Threat chapter of Our Band Could Be Your Life. This is a great man. He deserves to live forever.

ian's always been "older" to me. the first time i met him, it was like talking to the dad of a friend or something. mind you, the coolest dad on the planet and wicked down to earth. the next time, he was more like an older brother and i had more to talk with him about, rather than being a fanboy.

what will happen next time?!

Happy birthday, Ian. You've produced some of my favorite music of all time. With that said, I'd rather hear a Guy Picciotto solo album than one from you.

The Evens have an album coming out in 2 months. I'm excited.

oops. didn't mean to imply it was his birthday, guys. I just couldn't believe it when I read that he was born in 1962. He turns 43 in April.

I don't think Rollins is proof of people in their 40's still rocking - if anything, he's pretty much evidence of the decline...
